Last night, Claire attended the Lyric Theatre Belfast to celebrate the remarkable milestone of its 75th anniversary. Founded in 1951, the Lyric holds a unique place in Northern Ireland’s cultural history as the region’s only producing theatre, allowing generations of artists and creatives to play a vital role in the artistic life of Belfast. Celebrating 75 years is a significant achievement, marking decades of creativity, storytelling and cultural impact.

To mark the occasion, we were delighted to present the Lyric Theatre with a bespoke celebration cake, created especially for the anniversary, made by our very own Finbar and Maeve. The cake featured a Macphie Lemon Sensation Cake, layered with Macphie Buttercream and lemon curd, finished with decorative detailing using Renshaw fondant. The cake reflected the creativity and the iconic red brick of the Lyric. We were particularly pleased to present this cake as a company that has also recently celebrated a significant milestone of its own. It is so important to share in moments like this recognising longevity, creativity and the value of strong cultural institutions, and we were proud to contribute to such an important celebration.

We would like to thank everyone at the Lyric Theatre for a wonderful evening and hospitality, and we wish them every success as they continue to inspire audiences and artists alike in the years ahead.
