Andrew Ingredients’ Head of Applications and Innovation, Finbar Haughey, heads up new product development and innovation. With over 35 years of experience, including more than a decade at Andrew Ingredients, Finbar has a deep background in production, operations, and new product development from some of Northern Ireland’s most esteemed bakeries. He is supported by Paul Galloway, the Applications and Innovation Manager, who boasts over 40 years of experience in the food industry, having begun his career as a baker. Leveraging their extensive knowledge, both Finbar and Paul actively collaborate with both existing and potential customers, offering seminars and demonstrations in partnership with leading suppliers from across Europe. Additionally, they provide tailored solutions and NPD support, both at customer premises and in our test bakery.

We actively collaborate with our suppliers on new product development. We consistently research market trends, especially focusing on future trends and preferences in Ireland and the UK.

The focus of the test bakery and kitchen is to enhance our ability to support customers with product development and testing and to showcase new supplier lines. The Test Bakery and expertise of our Applications and Innovation Team is available for customers to utilise for new product development, workshops and seminars.
