On Friday 20th March, we hosted our 6th annual Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Awards in memory of our colleague and friend, Leslie Irvine.
Leslie was someone who truly embodied what it means to go the extra mile not only for Andrew Ingredients, but for his colleagues, customers, friends and family. In his memory, the GEM Awards recognise and celebrate team members who demonstrate our core values through their performance, attitude and actions, consistently making a positive impact across the business.
Congratulations to Ross Shields, this year’s GEM Award winner, recognised for his constant willingness to help others, from being the go-to IT support to lifting team morale with a well-timed coffee. Highly commended awards were presented to Kristine Morgan, for her outstanding customer service, and Ricky Crooks, for his invaluable support with DIY projects throughout our 80th celebrations. A special recognition award was also presented to Paul McCrea for a remarkable act of going the extra mile, stepping in at short notice to deliver an overnight load to support the team.
Congratulations again to all our winners. These awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the dedication, teamwork and commitment shown across Andrew Ingredients every day, and we are proud to celebrate the people who make our business what it is.
